More specifically, <strong>China has reduced official fees by 50% for all the following activities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Filing of a trademark application;<\/li>\n<li>Fees for each item of goods\/service in excess of 10;<\/li>\n<li>Renewal of the trademark;<\/li>\n<li>Surcharge for late renewal;<\/li>\n<li>Recordal of the assignment;<\/li>\n<li>Recordal of change of name and\/or address;<\/li>\n<li>Recordal of a license agreement;<\/li>\n<li>Response to the Office Action;<\/li>\n<li>Filing of an opposition;<\/li>\n<li>Filing of a cancellation action;<\/li>\n<li>Filing of an invalidation action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span id=\"Trademark-filing-and-registration-of-a-trademark-in-China\">Trademark filing and registration of a trademark in China<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After the trademark filing, applications are examined to the formality and substance (possible conflicts with prior rights).<\/p>\n<p>If the Examiner finds some obstacles to the registration, an office action is issued. An application that is refused by the Trademark Office may be appealed to the <em>Trademark Review and Adjudication Board<\/em> within fifteen days from receipt of the notification.
