{"id":8346,"date":"2017-05-21T10:59:40","date_gmt":"2017-05-21T08:59:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/registrare-marchio.com\/nuovo\/?p=8346"},"modified":"2020-08-06T12:45:53","modified_gmt":"2020-08-06T10:45:53","slug":"counterfeiting-and-food-labels-new-rules-on-the-origin-of-milk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/registrare-marchio.com\/en\/counterfeiting-and-food-labels-new-rules-on-the-origin-of-milk\/","title":{"rendered":"Counterfeiting and food labels: new rules on the origin of milk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On April 19, 2017 it became into force the Decree of December 9, 2016, published in the Official Gazette No. 15 of January 19, 2017), providing rules on<br \/>\n\u201c<em>indication of origin on the label of the raw material for milk and milk products, implementing EU Regulation n.1169\/2011 concerning the pro-vision of food information to consumers<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img src='https:\/\/registrare-marchio.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/new-rules-on-the-origin-of-milk.jpg' class='aligncenter' alt='new rules on the origin of milk' width='465' height='290'\/><\/p>\n<p>Article 2 of the Decree provides that:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe indication of origin of the milk or milk used as an ingredient in dairy products listed in Annex 1, provides for the use on the label of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cCountry of milking\u201d, country name in which the milk was milked;<\/li>\n<li>\u201cCountry of preparation or processing\u201d: the name of the country in which the milk was affected or transformed. In case milk or milk used as an ingredient in dairy products listed in Annex 1 has been milked, conditioned or processed in the same country, the indication of origin may be done with the use of the following words: \u201corigin of the milk\u201d: Country name\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Article 3 provides that:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhere the operations referred to Article 2, paragraph 1, are carried out in the territory of several countries members of the European Union\u2026can be used the following wordings: \u201cmilk of EU coun-tries\u201d for the operation of milking, conditioned or transformed milk in EU Countries for operations of packaging or processing. Should the operations referred to in Article 2, paragraph 1 take place in the territory of several countries situated outside of the European Union \u2026the following indications can be used: non-EU countries for the operation of milking, conditioned or transformed milk in non-EU Countries for the operation of conditioning or processing\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The indications concerning the origin referred to in Articles 2 and 3<strong> must be indelible and placed on the label so that they are visible and easily legible<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In April 2017 the new rules on food labels came into force, which provide for the indication of origin for milk and dairy products.
